Qetoe Low Carb Mushroom & Sausage Risotto

Well, well, well, look who's getting all fancy with their low-carb Mushroom and Sausage Risotto made with Qetoe low carb rice!   • 2 sachet of Qetoe Low Carb rice
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 200g sausage mince
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon of butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the sausage mince and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  5. Add the Qetoe Rice and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Add 1/2 cup of broth at a time, stirring constantly until the rice has absorbed all the liquid before adding more. Continue this process until all the broth has been absorbed and the rice is cooked through.
  7. Stir in the parmesan cheese and butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot with additional grated parmesan cheese on top. Enjoy!
